Bootcamp

This class is taught by:

Teresa Black

I joined the MOSSA team beginning in 2010. My first certification was Group Active, and I was hooked! I realized I had a strong passion for fitness and a desire to share it with others. In order to grow both personally and professionally, I then became Blast (step) certified in 2011, quickly followed by CORE in 2012! I love ALL the fitness programs and am very excited to continue to teach at GET FIT.

I have also been an AFAA certified aerobics instructor since 2001, My love for fitness all happened back in 1999, when I started taking kickboxing classes and found my calling. I have been teaching kickboxing and sculpting classes ever since, I also added a Zumba certification in 2009.

After joining Get Fit. I became certified to teach Cycle in 2014, Tabata Bootcamp and Pilates in 2015, and in May of 2016 I became a certified Barre Above instructor. To me, in the fitness world- the sky is the limit. I found a way to keep exercise fun and exciting and want to share my passion with you.

On the personal side, I am a busy mother of two. I have a daughter, Mary 29, who is a nurse and she inspires me to achieve more every day. I also have a very active 11 year old son, Dylan, who keeps me running around and on my toes. I love being in the fitness business and it is so rewarding for me to help my clients become healthier, stronger and happier!

Dee Cady

My name is Dee Cady. I’m originally from Western Mass and now call Mashpee home. I am the owner of Shine On Health and Life Coaching, and am a full time Corporate Wellness Coach who specializes in educational programs. I give presentations on everything from Nutrition and Food to Stress Relief and Physical Fitness. Prior to launching my company, I was an Insurance Broker in Healthcare and Employee Benefits. I guess you could say that I spent the first half of my adult life selling healthcare and now I’m dedicating my life to teaching people how NOT to use it!

I developed my love for exercise in the journey to combat the excess weight that I struggled with as a youth. I also want to be a good example for my daughter. As a single mom, working out was the best form of self-love and stress relief that I could find. I tried many different classes, and fell in love with Cycle. Within a year I had my certification and was teaching classes at my local YMCA. I added additional certifications as opportunites arose and before long, I was teaching Boot Camp, Tabata, Spin, etc - 2 classes a day, 5 days a week! This has been my life for the better part of 15 years.

Nothing makes me happier than spending my time helping others to achieve their goals. Whether that be losing weight, building muscle, forming friendships or learning new skills - the list is endless. Teaching fitness class delivers all of that and more. I cannot begin to count the incredible people I’ve met through the gym, and feel blessed to be able to lead the classes for such amazing people each day.

Wishing you a best day ever! Shine On!

Bootcamp: A high intensity interval training class. A HIIT session often consists of a warm up period of exercise, followed by repetitions of high intensity exercise, separated by medium intensity exercise for recovery, and ending with a period of cool down exercise. There is no specific formula, and all clients are encouraged to take the class at their own level. High-intensity interval training has been shown to improve athletic performance, and increase cardiovascular development.
